How to change DNS on your TVpad 2, 3 and 4?

Some people are asking how to change DNS on your TVpad 2, 3 and 4. The most easy way to do this is by connecting an Ethernet cable (Internet cable) between your TVpad and modem/router. Normally, your router/modem will automatically assign all the information, such as IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS. Then, the only thing you have to change manually is the DNS number.

Go to the "Settings" option in the main menu (start-up screen). Then, choose "Network Settings" if you are using a wired connection (using an Ethernet cable). Switch to "Manual" and you only have to change the DNS number. IP address, subnet mask and gateway should be assigned already by your modem/router, so you don't need to change that.


Change the DNS number to  a working DNS number

After you have changed the DNS number, reboot (restart) your TVpad. The TVpad apps could be working again after you have changed the DNS number.     I have tried it all in my tv pad3 but no luck. It was still working yesterday even the HK drama app but now nothing. Any help ?

    My TVPAD3 was working though 49.213.10.163 but stopped from yesterday. I tried all other list but none of them worked. Could you let me know any working numbers?

    49.213.10.163 still works on my TVpad2 at the moment. Maybe the servers are overloaded. You are not from the US, right?

    If you are from the US, then I believe there is a complicated situation. Based on what I have read, all the IP address from the US have been blocked (at least for now). I can't confirm it, since I am not from the US. The short term solution is buying a VPN subscription to bypass the IP address problem. People have used that method on the TVpad 4 and it is working fine at the moment.

    Hello, none of the above DNS numbers work for me on the East Coast of the US. 49.213.10.163 worked up to a week ago, but none of the additional numbers provided work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    49.213.10.163 only worked with one or two apps but none will work anymore. Does anyone know of a working dns? Been trying to hook it up to using a VPN. Could anyone tell me the exact steps in hooking it up properly?
